Description

The Maintenance Technician under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of production, fulfillment, warehouse and related automated equipment, acting as the contact for emergency situations.

Description

  • Respond promptly to all service requests as it relates to all equipment within the facility
  • Must be able to have or obtain OSHA 10 hr. general industry certification
  • Assist and train existing and new machine operators to improve line efficiency
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment according to the maintenance schedule
  • Performs basic electrical work and determines when an electrician is required
  • Transport goods or equipment as assigned
  • Performs immediate cleaning duties necessary to maintain clean facility
  • Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Manager
  • Responsible for all powered equipment, maintenance and preventive maintenance
  • Provides immediate assistance to automated production equipment, trouble shoot issues and keep production on schedule
  • Able to work in a refrigerated environment most of the day
  • Perform all duties in accordance with our Good Manufacturing Practices Policy, 5S Program and related Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform duties effectively in a highly diverse teamwork environment

Required Skills

  • Must be mechanically inclined, with a safety-first mentality
  • Must have a “Can Do Attitude” and be Self-starter as well as a team player
  • Must have proven mechanical ability with minimum of 5 years trade experience
  • Certificate in trade school or equivalent work experience related to a specific trade or general facilities and/or maintenance background
  • Must be able to take direction as well as ownership of given tasks
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, and against strict time constraints
  • Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools
  • Ability to accurately assess mechanical and electrical problems, make recommendations, communicate effectively and resolve issues quickly
  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and Gmail
  • Must be able to walk, bend, stand and reach for extended periods of time
  • Must be comfortable and able to work at heights of 20 feet
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
